Plywood Media - Car dealer sites that generate sales leads

LYWOOD Media was born in 2001. At the time, it was clear the Internet was wide open — a completely new medium that very few understood.
There's a story about Walt Disney that illustrates the point. In the early 1950s, Walt Disney called together his best people and told them to set aside whatever they were doing and come up with some ideas for a new project. He had decided they were going to do a weekly, one-hour TV program, and he wanted to know how to fill the time. Out of the silence that ensued, one voice arose. “But boss,” the employee objected, “we don't know anything about television.” Walt Disney smiled and responded, “Neither does anyone else.”
The Internet at the turn of the 21st century was a lot like television in the early 1950s.
Established media channels dismissed it as a passing fad. Ad agencies saw little to embrace or recommend to their clients. Even the very phone companies had delegated its administration to youngsters who knew lots about computers and nothing about business. But the power of this strange new medium was becoming more apparent with every passing day.
At some point, a clever individual used the word beanstalk as a metaphor for the Internet. And it's a good comparison.
Even today, nobody knows Jack about the Internet.
But in its presence, we all are Jack.
